Our pals Chain Net Apparel and Form+Function have united their great minds to regenerate our local basketball court at Orchard Park (just up the road from Sea Dog HQ).
Craig from Chain Net Apparel has been working hard over the last few years to raise the profile of UK Basketball. Alongside being a qualified coach, offering community basketball lessons and running his brand Chain Net. You may know Form+Function a social enterprise run by Annabel, the gal behind the Covid Art billboards that appeared around the city during the first lockdown. They have pulled the city together, with the support of local businesses and creatives to get this project off the ground starting with a Crowdfunding campaign to raise £30k.

The Next Phase
With just 8 weeks of campaigning they raised the full £30k, to fund the first phase of the regeneration. The second phase of the fundraising launches very soon with a Crowdfunder that aims to use sport and street art as a conduit for social change. Aiming to put Portsmouth on the map, the team have commissioned celebrated international artist and illustrator Hattie Stewart to create a one-of-a-kind artwork on the Orchard Park’s soon-to-be-resurfaced community basketball court.
