Ever wondered what it takes to get your order from an idea to the final garment? We’ve broken it down for you with this handy infographic which explains how your screenprint order is processed.

Tell Us Your Idea

You’ve thought of a great idea for your latest line of merchandise, event or workwear. You can contact Sea Dog Print Studio via our Quote Form on our website.

We’ll Get Back To You

One of our Customer Service extraordinaires will make some recommendations on the best garments to use for your idea and budget. They will also create a digital proof of what your garments will look like. If you have your own artwork – That’s great! We will make sure it’s suitable for screenprinting or embroidery. If you don’t have your own artwork, that’s no problem. One of our talented designers can assist you in making your ideas come to life.

Order Confirmed

Once you’re happy with the proof and have given us the go ahead, we will send you an invoice for payment. Turnaround time can vary particularly at busy times of the year but is generally around 15 working days from the date you sign off your order.

We’ll Begin The Set Up

  • Firstly we will prepare your design for print and embroidery. If your order involves screen printing we will split your design into layers.
  • Secondly we will order the garments from one of our many suppliers.

  • Next we will create the screens. This involves printing a positive that is exposed onto an emulsion flooded silk screen. It is then washed off to leave a negative on the screen.

  • If you are having garments embroidered we will “digitalize” your design. This means turning your design into a digital file which will tell our embroidery machines to stitch in a certain direction, order and colour

  • Lastly if you are having any finishings added to your garments we will order the labels, patches or packaging.

    We Print!

    Now were ready to go! Our talented production team get to work printing or embroidering your garments.

    The Finishing Touches

    At this point we add the finishing touches. We offer many finishing’s including bagging, removing manufacturers labels, adding your own branded labels or adding patches.

    Quality Control

    We’re nearly done! Now we double check the order, making sure it’s exactly what you wanted to the highest possible quality.

    Your Order Is Ready

    Ta-da! your order is ready you can either collect your order from Sea Dog HQ in sunny Southsea or we can send your order to you in the post.
